Gong Bath Experience

Deep rest | Ease blood pressure, calm the mind | Awaken self-healing

Sound healing × rest and repair

A gong bath is an immersive sound healing experience. The gong’s deep, penetrating tones and resonance help body and mind settle into meditation and deep rest. After a single session, many people feel the pressure lift, sleep more easily, and leave feeling steadier.

Sound resonance: gong tones and layered overtones wrap the whole body, and let you sink into deep rest

Led by certified sound healer Winnie, the gong’s low frequencies help the brain move into a theta state — a depth of rest similar to meditation — and ease everyday anxiety.

Arrival and guidance

In these ten minutes, we attune the mind, the body, and the breath. We step into the atmosphere of this awakening journey, and let body and mind arrive ready.

Healing and resonance

Through an energetic clearing of the space, and the resonance of the gong, we go inward, release heavy emotion and heavy energy, and feel the spirit washed clean and made new.

Reflection and connection

In this last phase, we reflect and notice the body. Guided sharing with Winnie connects the experiences in the room. A final oracle card offers a message — a blessing to carry as the inner journey continues.

About the facilitator — gong sound healer

Winnie Ng

Internationally recognised gong sound healer | 200-hour yoga teacher | Usui Reiki Master | Money Reiki Level 3 teacher | Osho Tarot reader

Winnie is a gong sound healer and a Reiki divination practitioner. She has worked in mind-body-spirit care for three years.

Through the gong’s particular vibration and sound, she brings together the power of sound and spiritual guidance — helping people rest the mind, release pressure, rebalance body and mind, and return to inner harmony and quiet.

As a clear channel, Winnie connects guidance from heaven and earth with what your body is holding in the moment. She helps attune and raise the body’s frequency, and leads a felt, in-the-body gong bath — “living where you are,” “taking root” — so attention stays with the present, and with inner steadiness.

Gong Bath FAQs: Experience and Benefits

What is a gong bath, and how can it support body and mind?

A gong bath is a sound healing experience. Deep vibration and layered overtones from the gong help you enter deep rest and meditation. In Hong Kong, gong baths are becoming a well-loved pause for people under city pressure. The sound can encourage a theta brainwave state, similar to deep meditation, ease anxiety, support better sleep, and wake the body’s own capacity to recover. At Ayla, the session is led by internationally recognised facilitator Winnie, with clear guidance and a comfortable room, so you can feel balance across body, mind, and spirit.

Ayla’s gong bath is shaped by our Flow of Life philosophy: sound healing and natural therapies, held as personalised care for body, mind, and spirit. The studio sits in the heart of Causeway Bay — a quiet room, set apart from the street. Led by internationally recognised gong sound healer Winnie, and woven with Reiki and tarot, each session is a sound journey, and also a passage toward inner awakening and energetic balance.

Many people who join a gong bath in Hong Kong tell us they feel a clear release of pressure, and that their sleep improves. The gong’s low frequencies can soothe the nervous system, and ease everyday anxiety and the shoulder and neck tension that city life tends to leave behind. For anyone who has been sleeping poorly, or living in a tight, tense state, a gong bath is a natural, non-invasive way to rest. If you have a specific medical condition, please speak with your doctor first.

Ayla is a leading integrative mind-body-spirit centre in Hong Kong. We bring regenerative medicine together with natural therapies, and shape care around you. A gong bath here is sound healing, and also a deeper journey through body, mind, and spirit — a way to find inner quiet, and your own natural rhythm, inside the pace of Hong Kong.

Taking Part and Preparation

Is a gong bath suitable for beginners? How should I prepare?

Yes. Ayla’s gong bath is designed for beginners, and for people in Hong Kong who simply want to rest. No meditation or sound healing experience is needed. Your facilitator guides you the whole way. Wear loose, comfortable clothes. You may bring a water bottle and a light blanket; mats and cushions are provided. For the best experience, come on an empty stomach, or after a light meal.

A gong bath suits most people looking for rest and balance — especially if you feel under pressure, sleep poorly, or want to explore meditation. We do not recommend it if you have a pacemaker, or if you are pregnant. The gong’s vibration may affect heart rhythm, or how the body feels. If you are unsure, write to us at support@ayla.com.hk and we will advise you personally.
