
Physical and Mental Endurance
Endurance refers to the ability of the body to persist certain activity for a long time, which can basically be divided into cardiovascular endurance and muscular endurance. Strong cardiovascular endurance allows the heart and lungs to provide a more efficient metabolism, while good muscular endurance allows us to continue working longer hours without fatigue.
Willpower is not a virtue, but a biological mechanism. Through meditation, exercise, nutrition, and sleep, we can all improve and increase our mental strength. Willpower is not unlimited, and excessive self-control is not conducive to health. Training our brain in a correct manner can enable us to develop stronger willpower and endurance.
耐力及意志力
耐力是指身體在一定時間內維持某項運動的能力,基本上可以分為心血管耐力和肌肉耐力。強大的心血管耐力能令心臟和肺部提供更高效的新陳代謝,而良好的肌肉耐力能令我們持續工作而不容易感到疲勞。
意志力並非美德,而是一種生理機制。透過冥想、運動、營養和睡眠,我們都可以改善並提升我們的精神力量。意志力不是無限的,自制過頭反而不利於健康。選擇合適的大腦訓練才可以令我們培養更強的意志力和耐力。
